Georgia Harris is an adventure seeker, and also a wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, metrologist, hiker, and backpacker. As a photographer (primarily photo journalist) - she has been working in digital media since 2000.
In 2006, Georgia and her husband, Randy, thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine, as "Windtalker" and "Mom". They have also completed hiking the Long Trail in Vermont and the C&O Canal Towpath from Cumberland, MD to Washington, D.C.. In 2007, they rafted through the Grand Canyon and spent extra time in that area exploring Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. They have also traveled through many of the other U.S. National Parks and especially love the Southwest U.S.. Georgia has also been on safari in South Africa, and together they have explored parks and trails in Canada, Costa Rica, France, Germany, and Switzerland. They plan to continue their travels and adventures with a hiking trip to Scotland, England, Wales, and Spain scheduled for the summer of 2013 (photos to follow of course!).
Randy "Windtalker" Motz has two musical CDs available and regularly performs Native American style flute in the Maryland area where he uses "Mom's" photos from their various travels as a backdrop to create a wonderful experience of sight and sound. You can see upcoming performances on the Calendar section of our website.
Photos from the Appalachian Trail (A.T.) selected from those you can see here have been used to create a DVD with nature sounds and Native American style flute. "Windtalker" and "Mom" have also written two books about their A.T. travels. See our other media and resources at http://www.qualtechresourcegroup.com
